Art Entry Form 2024

Please read the terms and *conditions for entry* carefully.

IMPORTANT DATES

ENTRY FORMS DUE: Before 5pm – Friday, 5 April 2024.
Late entries will not be accepted.
Do not include your entry forms and entry fees with your artwork which is delivered at a later date as artworks are catalogued for the exhibition.

DELIVERY OF ARTWORKS: Wednesday, 10 April 2024. Between 10am – 1pm at the Art & Photography Pavilion at the Showground. *Prior to this time, artworks can be delivered to Gordon Barry & Co, Chandos Street, Gunnedah.

EXHIBITION OPENING: Friday, 12 April 2024 at 6pm, Art & Photography Pavilion.

COLLECTION OF ARTWORKS: Sunday, 14 April 2024 Between 10am – 12pm at the Art & Photography Pavilion. *After this time, the artworks can be collected from Gordon Barry & Co, during normal operating hours.

SECTIONS

  1. PAINTING    1st Prize:  $150, 2nd Prize:  $50
    Any painting medium, including oils, acrylics, watercolour, gouache, etc.
  2. DRAWING   1st Prize:  $150, 2nd Prize:  $50
    Any drawing medium, including pencil, pen, pastels, inks etc.
  3. PRINT-MAKING    1st Prize:  $150, 2nd Prize:  $50
    Any print-making technique, including linocut, etching, etc.
  4. SCULPTURE    1st Prize:  $150, 2nd Prize:  $50
    Any 3D artwork, any materials.
  5. “OUR PLACE”    1st Prize:  $150, 2nd Prize:  $50
    Any artwork, using any medium which reflects a sense of  ‘belonging’ to the local (Gunnedah and Liverpool Plains) area, including Aboriginal art works.
  6. CREATIVE POTTERY   1st Prize:  $150, 2nd Prize:  $50
    Any ceramic work, including hand-built and thrown techniques.
  7. NOVICE   1st Prize:  $50, 2nd Prize:  $20
    Any subject, any medium.  Artist should not have won an art prize previously. Aspiring artists under 18 years are also encouraged to enter if their work is suitably framed. (Please note that there is also a separate children’s art section for school aged children held at the Gunnedah Show in the Griffiths pavilion).
